John Karabees, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), is an experienced counselor. John has a passion for working with adults, couples (EFT), men’s issues, and those navigating trauma. As a former military veteran, he understands that all people need help and has worked with clients from many facets of life. He has helped clients through confidence issues, career changes, family issues and lifestyle adjustments. With John’s guidance, clients often find themselves growing their businesses, earning promotions, and stepping confidently into higher positions. Amy Ashland, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is a warm and experienced counselor. She works especially well with women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who struggle with anxiety, boundaries, perfectionism, and who long to experience more peace in their lives and relationships. Clients who grew up in disruptive family dynamics and struggle to find solid ground often experience breakthroughs in discovering their voice and developing secure, fulfilling relationships. Amy helps clients strengthen their communication in friendships and family settings so they can express themselves effectively and assertively rather than feeling like a doormat.
She's a specialist in helping the relationship between parents and their adult children, particularly when it comes to family dynamics. As Deeply Well's family counselor, Amy guides clients through building bridges of communication between family members.
She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Neuropsychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic approaches. Her eclectic style helps clients uncover unconscious patterns, process past traumatic experiences, and build a strong sense of self.

Chad Cooper, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A), is a steady and thoughtful counselor. He specializes working with adults who are feeling stuck in their head, feeling tired mentally, physically, or even spiritually. Chad helps clients discover their purpose and gain motivation for their lives. You might find yourself turning things over and over with anxiety, trying to make sense of things. He assists and educates adults and teens who are asking big questions about life direction, spirituality, and purpose, especially during seasons of change, loss, or weariness. Teenagers struggling with screen use and irritability work well with Chad.
Chad also guides couples who are dating, preparing for marriage/newlyweds, or married for some time, helping them navigate conflict and strengthen their connection. As a certified SYMBIS facilitator, he helps couples build a strong foundation through guided assessments and meaningful conversations. He is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Couples Therapy (Gottman Certified), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

Rose Anderson, Licensed Professional Counseling Associate (LPC-A), is a wise and approachable counselor. Women who feel left behind and unseen, wondering who am I now and where do I fit in, work well with Rose. Whether navigating life transitions (empty nester, retirement, divorce, widowed, aging, etc.), adult children, grandchildren, finding purpose after kids, navigating stages of parenting as a grandparent or being a healthy mother in law, Rose guides individuals toward finding meaning and setting new life goals.
Clients feeling lonely, or struggling, with or without friendships, find breakthroughs with Rose that lead to meaningful and more enjoyable relationships. She helps clients find belonging and purpose for those who feel overlooked, unacknowledged, or neglected.

Sarah Mulroney, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A), is an engaging and relatable counselor. She successfully guides women who had a difficult past or baggage that they have not fully healed from. Whether processing broken ties with parents or healing difficult romantic relationships and abuse, Sarah leads clients towards forgiveness, boundaries, and healthy communication.
She is also skilled in working with teenagers who struggle with feeling comfortable in who they are, being a perfectionist, or acting in a way that negatively affects their futures. Sarah incorporates the family in care by providing parents with skills to help at home and not just wait in the lobby while teenagers are in session.
Sarah specializes in integrating Christian faith into therapy as the motivation for wholeness and healing. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Meredith Yuhas Gawai is honored to hold the position of Founder and Executive Director at Deeply Well, a role driven by her unwavering commitment to the well-being of her fellow Charleston, SC residents. A native Charlestonian, Meredith's profound dedication is rooted in her sincere desire to witness her hometown's people achieve and sustain optimal health and wholeness.
Additionally, Meredith is a compassionate and dedicated trauma-informed counselor, specializing in providing support to women 12 years old and up who have experienced various forms of trauma. Meredith is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and sees clients who have experienced developmental trauma, sexual trauma, medical trauma, traumatic grief, and secondary traumatic stress. She draws from a range of evidenced-based methods including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR Certified), and Movement Therapy (DMT). Meredith holds a “Love and Logic” parenting certificate to support families navigating difficulties with teens and adult children. She is a tricare approved provider.

Melissa Colleton, Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), is a empathetic and understanding counselor. She helps high achieving teens, women, and families find calm and confidence. She has successfully guided teen girls who put a lot of pressure on themselves to do well academically, please others, and keep it all together, even when they’re feeling anxious, lonely, or unsure of who they are.
Women who are known as the “responsible one” or the “smart one,” work well with Melissa. She creates a safe space where they can breathe lighter, talk openly, and learn how to handle big emotions in healthy ways. She assists them build confidence, manage stress, and discover what truly makes them feel grounded and at peace. Trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Melissa guides clients past anxiety, panic, depression, and trauma.

Zenas Gawai is the Director of Business Operations at Deeply Well. Zenas earned a Masters of International Business degree from the University of South Carolina. He holds vast experience in developing start-ups into profitable businesses. He excels in building client relationships, providing strategy with market research, and implementing customer experience metrics.
